Candidate Approach

ACF Type: wysiwyg

The prerequisite for a successful candidate approach is to identify the right candidate. The candidate should be qualified for the position and the job should correspond to their professional experience and stage of career. Career networks such as Xing or LinkedIn are particularly well suited for this purpose.

Companies cannot solely rely on the right candidate applying to fill their vacant positions. This is why more and more companies actively approach candidates themselves. Social networks such as Xing, LinkedIn or Facebook make it particularly easy to approach candidates directly. This way, companies can increase their chances of finding the right employees.

The prerequisite for a successful candidate approach is to identify the right candidate. The candidate should be qualified for the position and the job should correspond to their professional experience and stage of career. It creates a negative impression when companies send mass messages at random. Instead, it is important to look at the candidate profile and check the suitability. What would make a job change interesting for the candidate? Ideally, the change of employer is also accompanied by the next step on the career ladder or a return home.

Additionally, recruiters should keep an eye on companies that are currently experiencing economic difficulties – this increases the chances of employees wanting to make a change.

After the right candidates have been identified, making direct contact is the next step. The title of the message should already attract the candidate’s attention with interesting Keywords, such as “executive position”. The rest of the text should then expand on the details of the job and should be appealing to the candidate. It is important that the candidate feels personally approached and that the position reflects their experiences.

Furthermore, the text should be designed to generate interest to find out more about the job on the candidate’s side and for them to contact the recruiter. The recruiter should quickly react to the request and should set up a date for an interview with the candidate in order to discuss further details of the position.

Approaching candidates directly can be a good way to expand the pool of applicants and recruit suitable employees.
